                                                      Thank you so much for a fabulous year! This is such a great group of kids and I feel so blessed to have been a part of their educational journies. Since my daughter is in this class, I very so fortunate to be able to see them grow even more in the future. Have a great summer! The Health Presentation form was due by Friday, May 27th. If the form isn't turned in, your child won't be able to attend. The presentation will be on Monday, June 6th. On Friday we are going to Grand Mere State Park in Stevensville for a dunes study through Sarett Nature Center. No chaperones are necessary for this trip. Students should wear sunscreen, comfortable hiking shoes, and dress for the weather.                         The Kalamazoo Valley Museum trip is Tuesday from 9:30-11:15 for those parents meeting us there. We leave Lincoln on the bus at 8:45 and plan to get back by 12:00. Food is still not allowed on the bus or in the museum, so we will have the kids bring a quick snack to have outside the museum afterward.  Permission slips went home for the Health Program and are due by next Friday.                                                                              March is reading month! Hopefully, you heard all about the amazing author visit last week. Books by Marc Tyler Nobleman are still available through this week if you'd like to order. They are also available at Forever Books.  Students will start listening to books and voting for their favorites this week. We will narrow it down to our favorite book of the collection by the end of the month!  Just a reminder that recorder forms were sent home this week and are due by Friday, March 18th.                                                             Just a reminder that we have swimming on Wednesday. Students need to bring a bag with a towel and clothes to change into after swimming. It helps if they come to school with their suits on under their clothes since we go in the morning and it is a late start!  We are in need of Clorox/Lysol wipes. If you are able to send some in, we would really appreciate it because we wipe the tables after our snacks every day! Thank you in advance!! Trimester two report cards go home this week. Please sign the envelope, keep the report card and send back the envelope so your child can receive yards!                                                            March is reading month!! Be on the lookout for more information from Mrs. Bacolor. We will have a read-in on Friday to celebrate all our hard work this trimester. Students may bring a snack and clear drink, a blanket and stuffed animal, and wear pajamas to school. Friday is a half-day also, so school dismisses at 12:09. Swimming was awesome on Wednesday! Thank you for sending in all the correct supplies for the kids. We can't wait for the next session.                                                         We will be going outside Monday afternoon to celebrate our ledge reward & NAEP testing.                                                          Please make sure your child is in school on Wednesday at 10:00 and 1:45 for the  National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP)   test. Kids were randomly selected through NAEP, so not all kids will be taking the test. If your child was selected, you received a note  a few weeks ago  from the office explaining the test. The test will either be given in math or reading.  Due to the snow days, I am a little behind on my reading assessments with kids. They can't have their conferences with you until they read with me. I will ask them to write in their planners when they are done and ready to schedule their conferences at home. Remember to write a note in your child's planner after you have the conference.
