Thank you for all the healthy snacks and treats for the track meet! We had beautiful weather and the kids all tried their best. It was a great day!

Permission slips went home Friday for the Health Program and are due by next Friday. When you read the content on the form, it sounds much more in-depth than it really is. Feel free to contact me for more info, but my daughter will be attending if that helps you make your decision. The date was changed several times, so now that it is June 6th in the morning, we will most likely need to change our Kiwanis Park day. More to come...

We will be taking the M-Step(MI state test) math test on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the morning. Please try to avoid appointments or absences on these days. Kids may bring gum or Jolly Ranchers to "wake up their brains" again. Thanks for your help!

The Kalamazoo Valley Museum field trip is on! We will be leaving in the morning on May 24th. Our time at the museum will be from 9:30-11:15 so we can get back for lunch. Please let me know if you would like to join us so I can give the museum a count. This trip is free and the only restriction right now is no food is allowed. We do not need you to follow the bus this time, so you could just meet us there!

                                                 We will be traveling by bus to the high school at 9:30 tomorrow morning to preview the Sound of Music . We plan to return at 11:00. Kids should plan to dress nicely if possible!  With the changing weather, please send appropriate cold-weather gear for recess. Kids may leave extra layers in their lockers if necessary. We try to go outside as often as possible! The 1st trimester ends Friday, so it is a half-day. We will have a read-in to celebrate all the kids' hard work. They may bring pillows or blankets, stuffed animals, a clear drink and snack, and a ton of books. They may also wear pajamas if they want!                                                               We will be finishing NWEA testing this week. Kids may bring gum, suckers, Jolly Ranchers, or something to use to wake up their brains during the test. The music program is Wednesday at the high school. Last week's blog has all the details from Ms. Mac. Students should try to wear red, white, or blue if possible!                                               Thank you to all who sent in food, drinks, games, crafts, etc. for the Halloween party. The kids had a blast! Also, thank you to everyone who came in to help. It was so nice to see so many people in the building again! Feel free to share pictures with me. I will pass them along for the yearbook and will print some for our classroom. The extra snacks and drinks will be used for kids who forget a snack.  Just a few reminders: Students are writing their homework nightly in their planners. If they are behind in Lexia or their paragraph writing, they may replace the read 20 minutes of their good fit books assignment with these other tasks as needed.
