Please read this message from Mr. Hubble: 

 Valentine's Day at Lincoln School on February 14 is quickly approaching and of course, things this year will continue to be a little different. Our plan is to hold off on the candy and packaged Valentines, and below are details for the week. During the week of February 14 - 17, our Positivity Project (P2) activities will be focused on "Love." Love means that you value close relationships with others and being close to people. The character strength of love represents the way we think, feel, and behave towards the people with whom we have close relationships. Classes will have activities and lessons in their morning meetings that will take the place of the traditional card exchange and parties. No need to send anything in from home, we will handle it all in-house. If you want to look ahead at family activities and connections for that week, remember you can access the P2 for Families at https://posproject.org/p2-for-families/ The password is P2.

We will have snacks for Valentine's Day on Thursday, February 17th while we complete a love collage activity for P2. If you have any magazines that you're not using and can be cut up, please send them in with your child for the activity. Here is a link to signup to send in treats. Thank you!

Your child will be asked to have a conference with you at home to share the growth he/she has made from the fall to winter. We have been working to complete the winter slides after viewing the fall slides, which helped us set new goals. Please write a note in your child's planner on the day that you had your "conference" so that I know it's complete. All conferences should be completed by February 18th. If you would like me to join your conference, I would be glad to do so. We can meet virtually or in person. Please signup here to schedule a time.

                                                      Thank you so much for a fabulous year! This is such a great group of kids and I feel so blessed to have been a part of their educational journies. Since my daughter is in this class, I very so fortunate to be able to see them grow even more in the future. Have a great summer! The Health Presentation form was due by Friday, May 27th. If the form isn't turned in, your child won't be able to attend. The presentation will be on Monday, June 6th. The girls' group will go from 9-9:30 and the boys' group will go from 10-10:30.   Kiwanis Park :  Tuesday, June 7th from 9:30-12:00! We will leave at 9:30 and be back by lunchtime.                                                             Just a reminder, if you would like to join us as a  chaperone  for the trip to Lansing, please turn in this paperwork. We have three  spots left! If you already turned in the form, you are in and I will be sharing a list with everyone's contact info to arrange carpooling. Volunteer forms and background checks are required to be a chaperone, so Mrs. Kauffman in the office will be checking to see who still needs to complete that paperwork and will send home the paperwork with your child after the break.                                                Happy Halloween! Here is the link  to see what the kids signed up to bring on Friday. Feel free to send anything in ahead of time. Just a reminder that our party is from 1:20-2:20 and the parade is at 3:15. Hope to see you there! A ziplock bag with math games was sent home on Friday. The hope is for kids to reinforce their math fact fluency. With a dry erase marker, kids can write right on the bag so it can be used again.
