Hello everyone! Girls on the Run registration ends tomorrow on Jan 14th!

Girls on the Run is back! We are looking for Girls on the Run coaches and participants for this spring. Any 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade girl can be a part of this 8 week program that begins the week of March 21st with two practices a week. You can choose to be on the Mon./Wed. Team or Tue./Thur. team. Practices run from 4-5:15pm. The season ends with a 5k race at Southwestern Michigan College on Wed.May 25th.  Click on the link below to sign up your daughter or as a coach! Here's a note from Ms. Mac about the upcoming music program:

Dear Lincoln School 4th Grade Parents,

Just a reminder: the 4th grade Musical is on January 19th, 5:30 pm at the HS auditorium   Our Program Theme is year is “We are Lincoln School,  We are America” The students can wear Patriotic colors (Red, White, and Blue) for the show.  Students will follow the signs and report to the HS Choir room no earlier than 5:15. Please take your student's coats and belongings with you to your seat so they can leave the show right from the stage!   Families, please wait to be seated until the other performance has ended. All the elementary schools are performing on the same night but at different times.  Thank you again for all your support. The students can’t wait to show you all their hard work!

Here's a message from Mrs. Gruchot about the Lincoln Book Club:


Hey 4th and 5th graders, it’s a new year and time for the Lincoln Book Club to get started!  Any 4th or 5th grade student who would like to join the Lincoln Lunchtime book club, please come to the media center to pick up a sign-up form.  We will meet once a month until the end of the year to discuss our book for the month.

Our first book will be Fish in a Tree.

We have a limited number of books, so we may not be able to accept everyone who wants to join.  Return your sign-up sheet, with your parent’s permission, by Monday, January 10th, and Mrs. Gruchot will get the book to you that day.

Our first meetings will be the week of January 31st.  All book club meetings will be at your lunchtime in the media center.

                                                      Thank you so much for a fabulous year! This is such a great group of kids and I feel so blessed to have been a part of their educational journies. Since my daughter is in this class, I very so fortunate to be able to see them grow even more in the future. Have a great summer! The Health Presentation form was due by Friday, May 27th. If the form isn't turned in, your child won't be able to attend. The presentation will be on Monday, June 6th. The girls' group will go from 9-9:30 and the boys' group will go from 10-10:30.   Kiwanis Park :  Tuesday, June 7th from 9:30-12:00! We will leave at 9:30 and be back by lunchtime.                                                             Just a reminder, if you would like to join us as a  chaperone  for the trip to Lansing, please turn in this paperwork. We have three  spots left! If you already turned in the form, you are in and I will be sharing a list with everyone's contact info to arrange carpooling. Volunteer forms and background checks are required to be a chaperone, so Mrs. Kauffman in the office will be checking to see who still needs to complete that paperwork and will send home the paperwork with your child after the break. If you are able to donate,  here is a  list of snacks   needed for the trip .  Thank you!                                                Happy Halloween! Here is the link  to see what the kids signed up to bring on Friday. Feel free to send anything in ahead of time. Just a reminder that our party is from 1:20-2:20 and the parade is at 3:15. Hope to see you there! A ziplock bag with math games was sent home on Friday. The hope is for kids to reinforce their math fact fluency. With a dry erase marker, kids can write right on the bag so it can be used again. Please let me know if you have any questions or need any additional supplies!
